ARMAND SENDS EMBERLYNN A MESSAGE
Latin Times is once again searching for the best spots to Vacation in Florida and this week our Vacation spotlight shines on Howard Johnson Resort in St. Pete Beach, FL.
Howard Johnson has always been around since I can remember, you could stay at a Howard Johnson’s and enjoy their great breakfast. Howard Johnson’s is a chain of hotels, motels and restaurants located primarily throughout the United States and Canada. Founded by Howard Johnson, it was the largest restaurant chain in the US throughout the 1960s and 1970s, with more than 1,000 company owned and franchised outlets.
Howard Johnson hotels are now part of Wyndham Worldwide.
On this Review the Vacation spotlight goes to the General Manager Mina Phomphakdy, Mina not only manages one of the best resorts in St. Pete Beach but, he also has an amazing story
When we pulled into the Howard Johnson Resort we were immediately greeted by General Manager Mina Phomphakdy and the front desk with smiling faces. The staff were very professional checked us in with a special welcome package. Mina immediately helped us to our suite which had a great Gulf View, making sure that we were satisfied with our accommodations…..CLICK FOR THE REST
Can Latinos be Sephardic Jews from Spain?
By Victor Padilla
Ever since I was a child I was always drawn to Israel, the land, its people, and birthplace of my King and Savior Yeshua Hamashea (Jesus Christ). When I would hear Hebrew songs or Hebrew spoken from the Holy land as most people call it, a yearning would grew inside of me to know more about this land and her people.....CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION
My Testimony By Jacob Gonzalez
If there is one thing I’ve learned in the past few years, it’s that cancer is no respecter of persons, and while it may be a great affliction, God is greater. My family’s battle began with my mom (Deb Gonzalez). She has always been a healthy woman. She diets and exercises and works her 40 hours every week just like everyone else. It seemed like it was spontaneous, but she received a call from the hospital, and they told her she had breast cancer. We were torn as a family, but little did we know that God was preparing us for something so much greater. My mom underwent all the required treatment, and finally was cured. Literally the very next day, my dad ( Marty Gonzalez) passed out with pain in his lower back from what he thought was a kidney stone. After a trip to the hospital and several tests, we learned that my father had been afflicted with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. You never feel the sting of Satan’s arrows like you do when you hear of a loved on falling ill, but we did everything together as a family. We cried together, we struggled together, we prayed hard together, and we found lessons in every inch of my father’s walk to healthiness.......CLICK HERE FOR THE REST OF THE STORY
Hola, my name is Nancy Colon (aka Nancy Colon Cigar Aficionada).
I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa,, later I moved to New Jersey, lived there for 15 years before I moved to Florida, going on 11 years in March. I now reside in St. Petersburg with my son Tarik. It was1992, heading home from St. Martin that I suspiciously purchased my first cigar. Here we were Maria and I, trying to figure out how we were going to take this cigar back home. Maria was a good friend of mine and my traveling buddy. Being females we figured we could pack and hide them right in our front pockets to take back home and that's exactly what we did and got away with it.
Back than it was unheard of girls in their 20's or 30's to smoke cigars at least in PA/NJ. We were so curious and thought how cool it would it be for us to try a cigar. It was however a great experience and an enjoyable one. CLICK HERE FOR MORE

Bucs VS Cardinals
Hispanic Heritage Game
September 29th, 2013 was a beautiful day, the weather was just right, My wife Jolie Gonzalez-Padilla was chosen by the NFL to receive their Hispanic Heritage Leadership Award and then the Bucs asked her to do the coin toss to start the game. The game started and the Bucs and their defense began to dominate the game 10-0 and they were 0-3 this was going to be the game when they would finally get a win. Last Quarter was a complete mystery to all the Bucs fans when through several interceptions to the Cardinals and then the tie came 10-10. Last Quarter, everyone on edge not knowing what was going to happen….then unfortunately the Cardinals dominated the game due to several more interceptions and the Cardinals scored a field goal kick brought the game 10-13. The Bucs once again suffered a loss making it 0-4, but there is hope for them yet, Tampa Bay Buccaneers Head Coach Greg Schiano “It’s a very tough game, tough loss, for our guys. We did a lot of things very well, just did too many things wrong, too many mistakes to win.... Well fans we will see if they have learned from their mistakes when the Bucs play the Eagles on October 13th, 2013 GO BUCS!!
